چکیده
Abstract Mapping the susceptibility of earthquake-induced soil liquefaction at continental scale is a challenge. Susceptibility soils to tendency certain geomaterials undergo severe stiffness degradation and loss shear strength. The latter could be induced by cyclic loading seismic events. surface evidence local phenomenon, detailed geotechnical field investigations are not available for regional studies, mention scales. literature review shows in several European countries, yet, comprehensive picture available. This work aims develop methodology assess Europe using geospatial parameters weighted via Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). major outcome study novel Liquefaction map (LSE), based on building ten different macro-units liquefaction. These have been delineated this order homogenous areas from geological, physiographical, geomorphological points view. adopted input depositional environment sediments, distance water bodies (coast rivers), compound topographic index (as proxy saturation). resolution LSE 900 × m. results cross-compared with maps region Greece (i.e. Thrace), Portugal, Bulgaria, sites where manifestations occurred across Europe. can identify large susceptible including also territories characterized low seismicity potentially affected anthropogenic seismicity.

Comprehensive Multi-Criteria Comparison and Ranking of Natural Gas Liquefaction Process by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)
Several processes have been proposed for natural gas liquefaction due to the vast utilization of LNG as a reliable and relatively easy to use fuel. Even though the merits and demerits of different process have been studied, a dearth of comprehensive technical and economical comparative investigation of these methods makes further broad examination a necessity. This article is presented to addre...

Landslide susceptibility zonation mapping is necessary in urban and rural development planning. So far different methods are presented for Landslide susceptibility zonation. In this study, using statistical method of Frequency ratio and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on paired comparison and intervention based such as slope, aspect, altitude, geology, land use, Normalized vegetatio...
متن کاملSurvey Fertility Mapping of the Maghan Area Using Global Information System (GIS) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)
In the face of rapid growth of the population and the need for food production sectors, one of the ways to achieve this is to increase the production per unit area. In modern agriculture, the preparation of soil fertility map seems to be necessary to plan for appropriate use of fertilizers for crops. This study was conducted to prepare a distinct map for evaluating the soil fertility according ...
متن کاملThe Analytic Hierarchy Process
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), introduced by Thomas Saaty (1980), is an effective tool for dealing with complex decision making, and may aid the decision maker to set priorities and make the best decision. By reducing complex decisions to a series of pairwise comparisons, and then synthesizing the results, the AHP helps to capture both subjective and objective aspects of a decision. In a...
متن کاملA GIS-based comparative study of the analytic hierarchy process, bivariate statistics and frequency ratio methods for landslide susceptibility mapping in part of the Tehran metropolis, Iran
The high hillsides of the Tehran metropolis are prone to landslides due to the climatic conditions and the geological, geomorphologicalcharacteristics of the region. Therefore, it is vitally important that a landslide susceptibility map of the region be prepared. For thispurpose, thematic layers including landslide inventory, lithology, slope, aspect, curvature, distance to stream, distance to ...
